Mid-career investigative journalists are invited to apply for the Walkley Foundation’s new Masters & McKenzie Investigative Journalism Fellowship by 12 May, 2025.

Five applicants will be selected as fellows and attend a two-day workshop program in Sydney on the weekend of 5-6 July, 2025.

The workshop will feature in-depth sessions with Walkley-winning investigative journalists Kate McClymont, Adele Ferguson, Hedley Thomas, Chris Masters and Nick McKenzie, plus panels with lawyers Peter Bartlett (Minter Ellison) and Larina Alick (Nine); and with ABC’s Jo Puccini and Michael Bachelard of The Age on preparing investigations for broadcast and publication. Pamela Williams will chair the workshop.

It’s free to apply and open to journalists with five or more years of experience.
