PIJI’s Australian News Data Report: October and November 2024 issues have just been published and includes the latest news market data.
In November:
- The Australian News Data Report recorded three market changes. This included the opening of Hinchinbrook Life and The North Shore Lorikeet, and the closure of Circular Head Chronicle. Nineteen changes to outlet records were also made in the database, including the addition of Boorowa Times, The Eastern Melburnian, Manilla Express, and Young News, and the closure of Mulga Mail and Queenscliffe Herald.
- As of November 30 2024, the Australian News Index lists 1,228 print, digital, radio, and television news outlets.
In October:
- The Australian News Data Report recorded six market changes. This included the reopening of The Barcoo Independent, the opening of Broken Hill Times, Dungog Shire and Gloucester District News of the Area, and Tennant Creek Today, as well as the closure of High Country Herald.
- Eighteen changes to outlet records were also made in the database, including the addition of The Pineapple and Prom Coast News, and the closure of Campus Morning Mial, Douglas News Network, The Manning Community News, The Orange News Examiner, Tamborine Times, and Tennant & District Times.
- As of October 31 2024, the Australian News Index lists 1,225 print, digital, radio, and television news outlets.
